Las Vegas will be filled with cowboys and cowgirls from across the nation to watch their favorite rodeo personalities compete for championship titles in the Las Vegas National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Now in its 34th year, the Wrangler NFR, known as the granddaddy of all rodeos, is where the top 15 cowboys and cowgirls show off their expertise in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, steer roping, barrel racing and bull riding set their sights on gold buckles and the title of World Champion. NFR is a must if you’re in Vegas December 6th thru the 15th.  According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority, hundreds of thousands of rodeo enthusiasts dressed in their best western wear and descend upon Las Vegas hotels, casinos, and restaurants for 10 days of exciting rodeo action and celebrate the Western lifestyle with a non-stop party throughout the city.

Besides all the rodeo events happening at the Thomas & Mack Center located on the campus of UNLV you can catch some amazing country music artists as all of Las Vegas turns country with entertainment showcasing an impressive list of country music entertainers.

Country music star Gary Allen returns to Las Vegas for his fourth year of weekend shows at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas which is an official NFR host property.  Gary Allen takes the stage on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15 at 9:30pm. You can find plenty of NFR deals at various hotels including the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino offering great room packages that includes free nightly shuttle service to and from the Thomas & Mack. Skip the headache of parking and parking fees, the Hard Rock offers free parking is only .3 miles to the Thomas & Mack center making it one of the closest hotels to the rodeo.

Most bars and restaurants will have drink and rodeo themed menu options for you to enjoy. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time as restaurants tend to get busy during this time of year surrounding all the events. Many area bars including the Goose Island Pub inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will have LIVE WNFR feed and so will also the casino bars so you won’t miss any of the rodeo action. You can sit back and enjoy great drink specials while you cheer on your favorite competitors during the Las Vegas National Finals Rodeo.
